BShepp fifth in second round of Outlaw Invasion at Atomic
Returning with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series after the series sat idle for the majority of the month, Brandon Sheppard traveled to Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) on Friday for the two-day Outlaw Invasion.
With a third-place finish in his heat pinning him on the sixth row for the opener, Sheppard rebounded to finish 14th after a flat right-rear tire dropped him from 10th on lap 18.
For the second round of the Outlaw Invasion on Saturday, Brandon topped his 16-car group in time trials before placing first in his heat. Receiving the fourth-starting position for the $15,000-to-win finale via the redraw, Sheppard rolled to a fourth-place finish in the 40-lapper. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Chris Madden, Brian Shirley, and Dennis Erb Jr. across the line.
Brandon is currently third in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
