Jack Riggs Races into Dome Prelim

Jack Riggs entered the seventh annual Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts over the weekend. A whopping 127 Super Late Models entered the indoor event at The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis, MO.).

Jack's preliminary night on Thursday evening included 62 entries. Starting his night with the ninth-fastest time in his qualifying group, he went on to finish third in both his heat race and b-main, which transferred him to the main event in the 18th-starting spot. Retiring early, he was credited with an 18th-place finish.

Via his preliminary night performance, he lined up fifth on the grid for his qualifier on Saturday night. Needing to finish fourth-or-better to keep his night alive, Jack came up with one spot short with a fifth-place performance.
