Pair of top-10's for BShep at All-Tech Raceway
Sheppard Riggs Racing pilot, Brandon Sheppard, followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to the newly rebranded Ocala Speedway (Ocala, Fla.) on Tuesday to compete in a pair of $10,000-to-win events.
Racing into the opener with a consolation victory, Sheppard climbed one spot in the 40-lap affair to finish 16th.
On Wednesday, Brandon stormed into the main event with a third-to-first run in his B-Main after losing ground in his heat. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Sheppard improved eight spots to register a ninth-place finish.
For the opening round of the Winter Nationals on Friday at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.), Sheppard followed up a runner-up result in his heat with another ninth-place finish in the main event.
His action-packed weekend drew to a close on Saturday with another top-10 performance in the 50-lap finale. Forced to use a provisional into the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Brandon passed 19 cars to record an impressive eighth-place finish.
