Seventh-place finish in Dream XXX at Eldora Speedway
After Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event fell to inclement weather, Brandon Sheppard returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday to compete in his preliminary night for the 30th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream.
With the 100-car field divided into two groups over Thursday and Friday, Sheppard squeezed into his prelim with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. With a $25,000 top prize up for grabs, Brandon muscled forward four positions in the 50-lap affair to register a third-place finish.
Back at the half-mile oval on Saturday, Brandon’s fourth-to-second heat show positioned him on the sixth row for the $100,030-to-win Dream XXX finale. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Sheppard advanced to a seventh-place finish in the 100-lapper.
